What is different about inspecting a manufactured home in Landfall?
Construction, mostly. We inspect the steel frame and support system, the skirting and ventilation under the home, tie-downs, the floor and subfloor, and the roof and seams. These homes can be affected by moisture from below, so we check for soft floors and staining. The report names what we found in the plain language. We also check exterior lighting, steps and skirting, which take a lot of wear.
What does a home inspector look at in a Landfall manufactured home?
Landfall is one of only two Minnesota cities made up mainly of manufactured housing, and homes here run from older units to newer models.
