Home inspectors in Big Lake and Sherburne County

Big Lake grew fast from the 1990s on, and most of its housing is subdivision construction around Big Lake and Mitchell Lake and on the newer streets toward the edges of town, on the flat sandy outwash of the Anoka Sand Plain. Newer does not mean defect-free: builder-grade roofing and flashing, attic ventilation, grading that has settled away from the foundation, and lake-lot drainage are the usual findings.
